Selection and Compensation Systems

Kravetz Associates designs, develops and validates selection procedures for organizations. These include interviewing guides that help managers assess job competencies or style, tests, and job simulations. Job simulations, as the name implies, are structured exercises that simulate a portion of a job. Simulation interviews are the most desired selection tool that organizations want today.  Here, candidates are assessed on each of the competencies for a particular job or job level.  We create simulation interview questions (behavioral probes and scenario questions) for each job competency and either conduct the assessments ourselves or train others to do them.  This is the state-of-the-art in selection and is highly valid, fair and objective.  Selection and Compensation Systems

In the compensation area we have designed new, innovative compensation systems such as pay-for-competencies systems. These systems are a radical departure from traditional merit systems which basically reward time on the job and do not differentiate well amongst employees. We have been the leader with pay-for-competencies systems and these systems have led to major improvements in employee feelings about compensation. We also design other types of reward and recognition systems which go beyond formal compensation in rewarding effective performance.
